DAY 1
Arrive Amsterdam. On arrival at Amsterdam Airport you are transferred to your hotel. After check in time to relax or explore this friendly city. Tonight we enjoy a welcome dinner in a local Dutch Rijsttafel restaurant. (HD)
DAY 2
Amsterdam Sightseeing. Today, an included canal cruise is the ideal way to see the city before visiting a diamond-polishing factory. Other treasures await us at the Rijksmuseum, famous for its Rembrandt paintings including the 'Night watch'. This afternoon we will visit Zaans Schans, with its many windmills, to see how wooden shoes and Dutch cheese are made. This evening, why not enjoy dinner in a Dutch fishing village. (B)
DAY 3
Amsterdam - Rotterdam. An early morning departure to Elsmere to visit the flower auction. Then (from April to the end of May) we visit the bulb fields at Keukenhof *. Later, on to Scheveningen before we drive through the 'garden city' of The Hague. The town of Delft, and the Royal Delft Pottery factory, is our last visit of the day before arriving in the port of Rotterdam. (B)
DAY 4
Rotterdam - Arnhem. Our morning orientation of Rotterdam is followed by a drive to visit the 'Delta Expo' at the Eastern Scheldt Dam. On to Tiel where we visit an old Pewter factory. We continue to Nijmegen to visit the museum at Groesbeek, dedicated to the history of 'Operation Market Garden' in 1944. Later, on to Arnhem to see the famous World War II Bridge before reaching our hotel. Tonight dinner is at our hotel. (B,D)
DAY 5
Arnhem - Groningen. This morning we enter the largest park in Holland - the Hoge Veluwe - and the Kr?ller-Müller Museum, which houses one of the greatest collections of modern Art in Europe with some of Van Gogh's most famous works. Then close to Apeldoorn, we visit the 17th century Het Loo Palace with its formal gardens. Here we have time for some lunch before stopping in Staphorst en route to Groningen for the night. This evening, we dine at our hotel. (B,D)
DAY 6
Groningen - Amsterdam. This morning we travel into the Frisian Lake District to Bolsward, Workum and the fishing port of Makkum, amous for its ceramics. Then we continue our drive along the Asfluitsdijk and on via the cheese-making village of Edam to Volendam. Finally we are back in Amsterdam. The afternoon is at leisure. Perhaps visit the Anne Frank house. Later this evening, after dinner at our hotel. why not take in some of the city's exciting nightlife. (B,D)

Free day for leisure activities. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 8
Depart Amsterdam After breakfast transfer to the airport for your final departure.
