DAY 1

Frankfurt - Ruedesheim - Rhine Cruise - Heidelberg - Wiesloch (T). Depart from Frankfurt in the morning and drive to Ruedesheim, famous for its vineyards. Take a Rhine cruise, passing romantic castles. Motorcoach to Heidelberg where we visit the inner courtyard of the impressive castle  before continuing on a walking tour of the beautiful old university town. Overnight in Wiesloch.

DAY 2

Wiesloch - Baden-Baden - Lake Constance (B). After breakfast depart for the Black Forest and Baden-Baden. Enjoy a tour through the casino and some sightseeing of one of the most beautiful spa resorts in Europe before traveling deeper into the Black Forest, a region known for the cuckoo clocks. Arrive at Lake Constance in the afternoon and enjoy a walking tour of the picturesque Lindau. Overnight at Hotel Helvetia/Stift.

DAY 3

Lake Constance - Hohenschwangau / Neuschwanstein Castle-Garmisch -Partenkirchen (B). Today we move into the Allgau, viewing the fantastic Bavarian Alps. In Hohenschwangau we visit the fairy tale castle of King Ludwig II, the Neuschwanstein Castle. Stop at another architectural treasure, the glorious rococo church Wies. In the late afternoon we arrive in the Olympic town of Garmisch - Partenkirchen, with overnight at Hotel Obermühle.

DAY 4

Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Linderhof Castle -Oberammergau - Ettal - Munich (B). Less known but even more beautiful than the Neuschwanstein Castle is Linderhof Castle, which we visit in the morning. Continue to Oberammergau, home of the famous passion play which takes place every 10 years with the next event in the year 2000. Stop at the Benedictine Monastery of Ettal. On to Munich, with optional „Bavarian Evening" incl. dinner, and entertainment. Overnight at ntercity-Hotel/Hotel Cristal.

DAY 5

Munich (B). Enjoy an extensive tour of Munich, showing you all the main sights of the splendid Bavarian capital incl. Nymphenburg Palace. Afternoon at leisure.

DAY 6

Munich - Nuremberg - Rothenburg (B/D). After breakfast drive to the historic city of Nuremberg, with its unique medieval city center. Walking tour to see the most interesting sights. Stop at the Reichsparteitagsgelände before continuing along the Castle Road to the Romantic Road. Arrive in Rothenburg in the early afternoon. After a walking tour of the charming town incl. the Jacob's Church with an altar by Tilman Riemenschneider, free time for exploring on your own. In the evening enjoy a 3-course farewell dinner at your hotel. Overnight at Hotel Tilman Riemenschneider.

DAY 7

Rothenburg - Wuerzburg - Frankfurt (B). In the morning we leave for Wuerzburg. Enjoy a tour of the magnificent Residence, a masterpiece of German Baroque architecture. Arrival at Frankfurt airport in the afternoon around 3 p.m. Drop-off at the departure points. Overnight in Frankfurt at Hotel Intercity or similar.

DAY 8

Frankfurt - Hanau - Fairy Tale Road – Kassel. Pick up from hotel. Drive to Hanau, birthplace of the Grimm Brothers famous for their collection of fairy tales. See their statue and enjoy a short sightseeing of the town. Continue to Steinau, where the „Fairy-Tale-Brothers" grew up, to Fulda with its impressive cathedral and driving through the beautiful scenery of „Little Red Riding Hood" we get to Homberg, a sleepy beautiful little town full of half timbered houses. Upon arrival in Kassel enjoy a tour of the beautiful park of the Wilhelmshoehe Palace. Up from the statue of Hercules we will have a wonderful view over the park and the city. Overnight at Hotel Kurfürst Wilhelm I.

DAY 9

Kassel-Hann Muenden-Sleeping Beauty Castle"-Bodenwerder-Hameln. After a city tour of Kassel, the day is dedicated to fairy tales. First see Hann. Muenden, a stunning town of half-timbered houses, home of Doctor Eisenbart, the legendary grim quack. Continue o the Sababurg, situated in the beautiful Forest of Reinhardshagen, where after the legend Sleeping Beauty sleeping for 100 years. Along the Weser River enjoy a scenic drive and get to Bodenwerder, home of Muenchhausen, the most famous liar of the world. In the afternoon we arrive in Hameln, town of the mythical Pied Piper. Walking tour in the evening through this lovable town which owes its beautiful appearance to first rate master builders of the Renaissance. Overnight at Dorint Hotel.

DAY 10

Hameln - Hamburg (B). This morning we follow the river Weser to get to Minden, nearby we have a look at a huge technical masterpiece of a lock that links the river Weser with the Mittelland canal. See Porta Westfalica, where the river has forced its way between two hills, on each of them stands a memorial of the Wilhelmine times. Arrive in Hamburg in the afternoon. City tour incl. all main sights of this impressive city before discovering Germany's largest seaport on a harbor cruise. Overnight at Treff Hotel Hamburg-Bergedorf.

DAY 11

Hamburg - Luebeck - Berlin (B). This morning we drive to the old Hanseatic city of Luebeck and marvel at the unusual architecture on a city walk. You should taste the famous Luebeck marcipan produced here. Continue to Berlin, the German capital. Overnight at Hotel Euro-Consul or similar.

DAY 12

Berlin (B). This morning enjoy an extensive city tour including all the main sights of Germany's most important and most exciting city. See the Brandenburg Gate, the parliament, the Berlin Cathedral and the former seat of the communist government of East Germany. Afternoon at your leisure, if you would like to go to Potsdam including the Sanssouci Palace join our optional tour in the afternoon.

DAY 13

Berlin - Dresden - Erfurt (B). Leave for Dresden in the morning. Get to know its most interesting sights like the baroque Zwinger, the magnificent Semper Opera House on our city tour. Continue to Erfurt via Weimar in the afternoon. City walk. Overnight at Hotel Excelsior.

DAY 14

Erfurt - Eisenach/Wartburg Castle - Frankfurt (B). After breakfast drive to nearby Eisenach and visit the medieval Wartburg Castle, where Luther spent the last years of his life in seclusion. Arrive in Frankfurt in the afternoon around 4 p.m. Drop-off at the departure points.
