DAY 1

Frankfurt - Heidelberg - Augsburg – Munich. On arrival at Frankfurt airport meet assist and transfer to the hotel of your choice .Depart from Frankfurt and drive to Heidelberg, where we visit the inner courtyard of the impressive castle  before going on a walking tour of the beautiful old university town. Continue to Augsburg, the 2000-year old town, which used to be the residence of old trading companies. Visit the Fuggerei. On to Munich, with optional „Bavarian Evening" incl. dinner and entertainment.

DAY 2

Munich - Lake Herrenchiemsee - Salzburg/Austria (B). Enjoy a tour of Munich in the morning, showing all the main sights of the splendid Bavarian capital incl. Nymphenburg Palace. Afterwards we drive to Lake Herrenchiemsee and visit the Herrenchiemsee Palace situated on an island. It was modeled on the famous Palace of Versailles by the fairy-tale king Ludwig II. Continue to Salzburg in Austria, the home of Mozart. Overnight at Hotel Hofwirt or similar.

DAY 3

Sun Salzburg (B). Walking tour through the old town in the morning. Rest of the day free for own activities, but we provide several options. Either you join our optional excursion to Lake Koenigssee incl. a visit to Eagle's Nest/Obersalzberg or enjoy a day at leisure in beautiful Salzburg. In the evening you have the opportunity to experience a „Sound of Music" show dinner (optional).

DAY 4

Salzburg - Altoetting - Fortress Burghausen - Passau/Danube Cruise (B). After breakfast we leave Austria and head for the Bavarian Forest. Stop at Altoetting, a world-famous place of visitors with its Black Madonna and various chapels and churches. Afterwards continue to Burghausen. Its huge, more than half a mile long fortress offers a great view on a picturesque market place and the valley of the river Salzach - the natural border between Germany and Austria. In the afternoon arrive in Passau, were the two rivers Inn and Ilz meet the Danube. Enjoy a city tour of the beautiful old town including the cathedral with the largest organ in the world and a cruise on the 3 rivers. Overnight at Hotel Am Fernsehturm.

DAY 5

Passau - Bavarian Forest - Regensburg (B). First drive to Tittling and visit the most interesting open-air museum, where old farm houses, a school and a mill were brought together to let history become alive. Continue through the Bavarian Forest and stop at a glassblowers manufactory. See how the stunning glasses are produced before having the chance to marvel at a collection of craftsmanship. Through the scenic landscape get to the Valhalla and enjoy the beautiful view on the Blue Danube before arriving in Regensburg. Overnight at Hotel Atrium.

DAY 6

Regensburg - Nuremberg - Rothenburg (B/D). In the morning enjoy a walking tour of this pretty town. Move on to the historic city of Nuremberg, with its unique medieval city center. Guided city walk to the most interesting points. Stop at the Reichsparteitagsgelände before continuing along the Castle Road to the Romantic Road. Arrive in Rothenburg in the afternoon. After a walking tour of the medieval town, free afternoon for exploring or shopping on your own. In the evening enjoy a 3-course farewell dinner at your hotel. Overnight at the typical boarding house Zum Rappen.

DAY 7

Rothenburg - Wuerzburg - Frankfurt (B). In the morning we leave for Wuerzburg. Enjoy a tour of the magnificent Residence, a masterpiece of German baroque architecture. Arrival in Frankfurt in the afternoon. Overnight stay at Frankfurt Hotel.

DAY 8

Frankfurt (B). Free day at leisure till transfer to the airport for final departure.
